The business provides dog training services only and does not offer boarding, day care, breeding, or the sale of animals unless otherwise stated and appropriately licensed.

3. Animal Welfare Policy

The welfare of all dogs is our highest priority.

We commit to:

  • Reward-based training methods

  • Never using physical punishment, intimidation, or aversive equipment that may cause pain, fear, or distress

  • Working within each dog’s physical and emotional limits

  • Allowing appropriate rest, water, and comfort during sessions

  • Ending or modifying sessions if a dog shows signs of stress, illness, or discomfort

  2. Suitable diet

  3. Ability to exhibit normal behaviour

  4. Appropriate companionship

  5. Protection from pain, suffering, injury, and disease

4. Health & Safety

​

4.1 Dogs

​

  • Dogs must be up to date on vaccinations or titre tested where appropriate

  • Dogs showing signs of infectious illness must not attend sessions

  • Dogs must wear secure collars or harnesses and be under control at all times

  • Owners must disclose any history of aggression or behavioural concerns prior to training

​

4.2 Clients & Public

​

  • Clients are responsible for their own safety and the safety of their dog

  • Children must be supervised at all times

  • Training in public areas will comply with local by-laws and dog control legislation

 

5. Owner Responsibilities

 

Clients must:

​

  • Provide accurate information about their dog’s behaviour, health, and history

  • Follow training advice consistently between sessions

  • Maintain control of their dog unless otherwise instructed

  • Clean up after their dog during sessions

  • Accept that training outcomes vary and cannot be guaranteed

​

6. Trainer Responsibilities

​

Falkirk Dog Training will:

​

  • Act professionally and ethically at all times

  • Treat clients and dogs with respect

  • Maintain appropriate insurance cover

  • Keep knowledge and skills up to date through continued professional development

  • Maintain confidentiality of client information

​

7. Training Results Disclaimer

 

Dog training is influenced by many factors including consistency, environment, health, and genetics.

While we aim to support positive progress, no guarantees of specific outcomes can be made.

 

8. Cancellations & Payments

​

  • Payment terms will be agreed prior to training

  • Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance

  • Late cancellations or non-attendance may be charged

  • Sessions may be cancelled by the trainer due to illness, severe weather, or safety concerns

9. Insurance

​

Falkirk Dog Training holds appropriate:

​

  • Public Liability Insurance

  • Professional Indemnity Insurance

10. Data Protection & Privacy

 

Client information is collected solely for business purposes and handled in accordance with UK GDPR.

Information will not be shared without consent unless legally required.

11. Complaints Procedure
