Terms & Conditions
These Terms and Conditions apply to all services provided by Falkirk Dog training (“we”, “us”, “our”). By booking or attending training sessions, you (“the client”) agree to the following terms.
1. Services
We provide dog training and behaviour support services, including group classes, one-to-one sessions, and/or home visits, as described on our website or booking materials.
Training outcomes cannot be guaranteed, as results depend on factors including consistency, environment, and the dog’s individual temperament and history.
2. Bookings & Payments
-
All sessions must be booked in advance.
-
Payment is required [in advance / on the day], unless otherwise agreed.
-
Prices are as advertised at the time of booking and may be subject to change.
3. Cancellations & Rescheduling
-
We require at least 24 hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling.
-
Cancellations made with less than this notice may be charged in full.
-
If we need to cancel or rearrange a session, we will offer an alternative date or a refund.
4. Client Responsibilities
-
Dogs must be kept on lead unless instructed otherwise.
-
Clients are responsible for ensuring their dog is fit, healthy, and vaccinated where appropriate.
-
Any history of aggression, biting, or behavioural concerns must be disclosed before training begins.
Failure to disclose relevant information may result in sessions being stopped without refund for safety reasons.
5. Health & Welfare
We use reward-based, force-free training methods and prioritise the welfare of all dogs. We reserve the right to stop a session if a dog becomes unwell, overly stressed, or if safety is compromised.
6. Children
Children are welcome where appropriate but must be supervised at all times. We are not responsible for the supervision of children during sessions.
7. Liability
-
While every care is taken, dog training involves inherent risks.
-
We are not liable for injury, loss, or damage caused by a dog during or after training sessions, except where required by law.
-
Clients remain fully responsible for their dog at all times.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
8. Use of Equipment
Any equipment provided remains our property and must be used as instructed. Clients are responsible for their own equipment unless otherwise stated.
9. Photography & Media
We may occasionally take photos or videos for training or promotional purposes. We will always ask for consent before using any images publicly.
10. Data Protection
Personal information is handled in accordance with UK data protection laws. Details will not be shared with third parties without consent, unless legally required.
11. Refusal of Service
We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue services if:
-
Safety is compromised
-
Payment terms are not met
-
Behaviour from clients is abusive or inappropriate
12. Changes to Terms
These Terms and Conditions may be updated at any time. The latest version will always be available upon request or on our website.
13. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Scotland.
